Starting with his debut novel "Eclipse," and continuing on to "At the End of the Matinee," "A Certain Man," and "True Feelings," which were all adapted into films, and his collection of short stories "Mount Fuji" which is scheduled for publication this fall, passages have been carefully selected from 16 of his novels. Enjoy one gem of a passage every week, for a total of 53 passages. The passages selected based on readers' votes include a variety of long and short sentences. They are the kind of passages that give you energy every day, change the way you see your daily life, or make you want to reread the novel. - A string of memorable words.
[Anniversaries for each work]
The "publication date" can be considered the birthday of each work. We don't usually pay much attention to the publication date of a book, but it would be interesting to think back to the day the work was released into the world as a book once a year. In honor of "Funeral", we will also list the birthdays and death dates of Chopin and Delacroix. Please use it as a simple memo column.
