[Message from author Maho Okamoto]
"I wish I could live in Kochi."
A single word from Cork's CEO, Sadie Sadojima, made the decision to move to his hometown, something he had never even considered before, a reality.
My hometown, Shimanto City, is more than two hours by train west from the prefectural capital and is said to be the farthest area from Tokyo.
But Sadie was right. Now that it's possible to move to a rural area and work remotely, I thought there was no reason not to try it out. So I took the plunge and moved.
I currently live in two places: my hometown and Tokyo.
Her second collection of poems, Bright Bouquet, is a collection of 266 poems that she wrote while traveling between Kochi and Tokyo.
Rather than writing about the place itself, I wrote about various events that I remember from my life and the emotions that well up inside me.
I hope you will find at least one poem that is special to you.

I'm already waiting for the sign of summer Since the long night of the winter solstice I walk more correctly and merrily, wanting to see the shining water, I jog a little Decisions that I'm not sure were really correct, come on, the snow melts I embrace the misprinted paperback, I love you, your only scar The days I spent with you were a small journey, the beauty of an empty vase, spices are like sparks, a strong cheer from me to myself, the prosperity and the popping bubbles are shining, a blessing, I say nice to meet you
