"The secret to success is the 'time is money' mentality." Norifusa Mita's Time is Money Calendar

For this calendar, we have chosen some of the famous quotes from my works.

Looking at them all together like this, you'll notice one thing: each character may seem outrageous at first glance, but in reality they're not saying anything particularly special.

On the contrary, they are all quite common sense words.

So why are we taken aback by these "ordinary words" of theirs?

This is probably because in reality, there are very few people or opportunities to state obvious things.

So, you see.

Simply by speaking the truth without hesitation, you can become a ``person who commands famous quotes.''

However, the persuasiveness of words can vary greatly depending on who is saying them, so it is important to be careful.

Kenji Sakuragi from "Dragon Zakura" is not a teacher but a lawyer. It's clear that this setting makes his words more persuasive.

The title of lawyer means that he has passed the most difficult exam in Japan, and that he makes a living by engaging in lively verbal exchanges. This is why his words have a more dignified presence than those of a mere teacher.

In order for words to stand out in a manga, the character who says them needs to be strong and easy to understand. When you look at each quote on the calendar, you'll see that they are all ones that you would expect a particular character to say.

There is a saying that "time is money," and I think this is very true.

There is no doubt that those who use their time well can reap great benefits.

The benefits referred to here could, of course, simply refer to money, but it could also be something important like friendship, love, or one's own abilities.

In line with "Dragon Zakura 2," Hayase and Amano, who are aiming to take the entrance exam for Tokyo University, are using "time" to improve their academic ability, in other words, to grow as people.

Let me give you an example from my own experience. Before I became a manga artist, I ran a clothing store in my hometown of Iwate Prefecture.

One of the important jobs in dealing with clothing is purchasing. I go to Tokyo and visit three or four wholesale stores in one day. If I hesitate, I can't move forward, so if I think something will sell,

"Okay, three medium size and five large size!"

So, they make quick decisions and purchase more and more.

There is no manual or equation for this, but as you gain experience your speed of judgment will naturally improve.

The same goes for the budget. I prepare about 1.5 million yen for each purchase, so I estimate that I will buy about 500,000 yen for the first store. At first, when I calculated it later, I found that I was over or short of budget, but I was able to purchase almost exactly according to my estimate.

The same goes for how to get around the stores. First Aoyama, then Gotanda, etc. Suppliers are scattered throughout Tokyo. I make a schedule by comparing the priorities of the stores and the route map to determine the most efficient way to get around.

Thinking back on that experience, it was the perfect training for me to complete the tasks within the set time. I think the skills I developed there are still very useful in my manga creation today.

If you think about it, a manga store is like a shop. You carefully stock the products, arrange them while thinking about how they will be displayed and the price, and create a sales floor that will interest customers.

It's about organizing your work in a logical way, matching what your customers want with what you want to sell. If you can do that all the time, your store will attract customers, and your manga readership should increase.

The idea that time is money is the best lesson for success. Let's use our time effectively to earn as much money, friendship, love, ability, growth, and more as possible every day.

Taking initiative yourself will directly lead to obtaining the things that are important to you.

So what should you do first? If you're unsure, why not start by keeping this calendar handy and turning over the pages every week? Let's all turn over the pages and make a lot of money!
